Winslow Sports Hub Update

At today’s Buckinghamshire Council meeting, Diana inquired about the long-delayed Winslow Sports Hub.

She highlighted the lack of progress flagging the rugby team is without changing rooms, tennis courts are in disrepair, and there’s no skate park, gym, or large recreational spaces in Winslow.

With housing developments ongoing, she stressed the urgent need for the sports hub and asked for confirmation on the business plan.

Councillor John Chilver responded, acknowledging the delays.

He cited challenges in securing the land, previously under an agricultural tenancy, and awaiting the Department for Education’s approval to deregister the former Winslow Centre site, once home to Sir Thomas Fremantle Secondary School.

He confirmed these issues are resolved, and a Cabinet report on both sites is expected later this year, promising further progress soon.
