Winslow Supermarket Targeted Again
The Winslow Co-op was ram-raided this week when thieves used a forklift truck to smash through the shopfront.
The raid took just eight minutes. Police haven’t ruled out a connection to the previous raid, where only a small amount was stolen.
Before this second incident, Diana, Winslow Town Councillors, Unitary Councillors and residents, had urged the Council to replace bollards outside the shop that were knocked down last summer.
Police suggest that if the bollards had been in place, they might have deterred the raiders.
Diana contacted the Council, who confirmed the bollards have been ordered but have not yet arrived.
Diana said:
Staff had to clean up the mess for the second time after this latest raid.
Let’s all be kind to them—it’s been very unsettling for them.
