Diana has a sneak peek inside Winslow Station

It’s the smoothest bit of track they’ve ever been on, say a couple of drivers who’ve navigated the brand new East West Rail Line from Bletchley to Oxford.

Senior Engineer Bradley Beck and Senior Project Manager Sam Davies gave me a tour of the new station.

It’s one of the first sustainable station made from environmentally friendly materials.

Inside the station there’s a space for a kiosk – it’s up to Chiltern Railways to decide if it should serve snacks and coffee.

The track testing is all done.

The line is ready.

Train drivers are learning the route.

The project has been delivered on budget and – ahem – on track, Winslow should be very proud of its smart new station.

Let’s hope for the starting whistle very soon!
