Winslow and Great Horwood are getting a new wood
Over 4,000 trees are being planted by Buckinghamshire Council near Winslow and Great Horwood; the new woodland will be named Roddimore Wood. It’s next to Roddimore Farm, off Great Horwood Road.
Weather permitting, the 4,625 new trees will be planted before Christmas. Species include native Black Poplar, Oak, Eared Willow, and Blackthorn which is particularly beneficial to brown hairstreak butterfly larvae.
