Bletchley to Oxford line will be electrified

Exciting to hear the Bletchley to Oxford line is going to be electrified.

There will be diesel trains initially. In the medium term either traditional electrification will be installed or a discontinuous electrification system will be used – battery operated in places.

The line should be open by December 2025.
